Blogroll

Hi all, here is where I put the blogs, podcasts and youtube channels related to gaming that I enjoy.

My postroll, has various single articles, podcast/youtube channel episodes I liked.

News/Review Blogs

The Indie Informer - An indie game-centric news and review blog. I discovered this as Jill Grodt, head of the site, is a host on The Indie Council Podcast. They also have a youtube channel with let's plays and other content.

Thinky Games - A blog focused on puzzle-centric games. With a large focus on indie videogames, but even discusses print/analogue/physical puzzle games. They also have a youtube channel.

Ladies Gamers - a blog with reviews, previews and other articles of more 'feminine' or cozy games.

Pen to Pixels - I think about the opinion essays that “not enough people would care about,” the games that are no longer “trendy” to discuss, and the reviews that “no one will read” and I’m saddened by all the wonderful things that never even made it to drafts.

Laura K Buzz - hub of games journalist Laura K Dale. Here you can find her articles, links to youtube vidoes, podcasts, etc.

Podcasts

Slow Burn: A Cozy Game Podcast - Slow Burn is a cozy game podcast hosted by NintenTalk, Payton's Corner, and MintendoGaming. Expect cozy game recommendations, opinions, reviews and so much more! New episodes EVERY Wednesday

Not too many episodes so far, but I have been enjoying the discussion so far. They have quite a few episodes remarking on commenter input.

The Indie Council Podcast - A weekly show all about indie games! Jill (The Indie Informer), Mike (Six One Indie), Janet (Gameonysus), and Jenny (Kimchica) are our resident indie experts, and they can't wait to delve into what makes this part of the industry so special. Expect news, game recommendations, and deeper dives into aspects of the game industry from these four folks who range from PR, marketing, influencer work, development, community management, content creation, and beyond!

I've just listened to all of these episodes and am current. I love the discussions.

Punching Up: A Nintendo Podcast - Punching Up is a bi-weekly show all about Nintendo, co-hosted by Dustin Furman, Gene Park, Dagan Moriarty, and Mama Micah. The goal of Punching Up is to discuss the latest news and games from Nintendo, as well as dive deep into the prestigious catalog of games from the past, all while keeping it fun and entertaining. The show is highly interactive, with plenty of questions and comments from the audience. New episodes are released every other Friday.

The Gaming Garden Podcast - The podcast where we discuss everything related to farming simulation games.

Six One Indiecast - The Six One Indiecast is a weekly video game podcast amplifying the indie gaming scene through reviews, previews, interviews, and discussions. New episodes publish to all major podcast feeds and YouTube on Mondays at 8AM ET.
